Hello! Welcome to eclectic mama. I’m Kristin, and this is my blog. I’m so glad you decided to stop by for a visit. Here at eclecticmama.com, the mantra is design a life you love. Simple as that. 

The life I love

The life I love is being married to my — also somewhat eclectic — husband, Ryan. It means being mama to my beautiful rainbow baby, Iris. At almost two, she’s not really a baby anymore, and I still can’t believe it. 

The life I love is a comfortable and well-organized home. It means having fun and always being grateful for what we have. 

The life I love is thrifting and couponing and scoring a great deal. It’s making sure my family is provided for and has everything we need.

The life I love is a home cooked meal for my family. It’s putting more love and kindness out into the world. 

The life I love expands my mind. It allows me to relax. 

These are all things I want to share with you. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I do this. If I only help one other person learn to design a life they truly love, then this was all worth it. 

Life before eclectic mama

You’re probably wondering what my life was before writing and curating eclecticmama.com. Before becoming a mom and creating all this, I was an art director and graphic design specialist for nearly 20 years.

By founding eclectic mama, I combined my love for trying new things with my love of visual art and the written word. It’s been a dream come true.

Besides all that, I’m a Southern girl at heart who likes her peanuts boiled and her BBQ in vinegar sauce. I love my family and my dogs, and I will correct you if you spell my name with an –en.
